Carmel Realty Company was the first Real Estate company in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. In fact, Carmel Realty is older than Carmel-by the-Sea itself!   The company was founded in 1913 by Rose C. De Yoe.  In the early 1930's Jean Booth (Great Grandmother of Shelly Mitchell Lynch)  became one of the first  female real estate agents in Carmel. She was succeeded by her daughter, Jean Booth Mitchell (and William F. Mitchell) (The original Mitchell Group), then by their son, William Booth Mitchell (and Vicki Mitchell) (still the Mitchell Group), and now by Shelly Mitchell Lynch (now Carmel Realty). For four generations since then, over 80 years, the Mitchells have been leaders in the Real Estate markets of Carmel-by-the-Sea and  Pebble Beach. In 2002 the Mitchell family made Carmel Realty part of The Mitchell Group, the largest privately held real estate firm on the Monterey Peninsula with 5 offices and over 130 agents. After The Mitchell Group was sold to Sotheby's in 2005, Shelly Mitchell Lynch purchased Carmel Realty in order to continue its rich tradition as a high-quality, locally owned and operated, family- run Real Estate Brokerage and Property Management Company,
